The FIMI Manta VTOL plane is a compact 700mm wingspan FPV ready model aeroplane capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL). The Manta features a "biometric" design and is both compact and modular with a quick detach wing design. The Manta is capable of ultra long 85 minute flight times due to its smart aerodynamic design and extra large battery compartment. The Manta has a tailless layout which gives it a unique design while also optimising the fuselage volume. Carbon Fibre rods have been used in the wings to add strength. The Manta uses a four-bar linking tilt structure with metal gear servos and all metal rocket arms - all parts are designed for quick and easy replacement and assembly. The foam used is EPP which is very resilient against impacts and deformation. The front equipment compartment supports different types of FPV gear including the DJI Air Unit, Caddx Vista Air Unit and DJI O3 Air Unit. The PNP-FC model ships with a flight controller running ardupilot.
The manta is "hackable" with the ability to make it a two motor pull forward setup (foam parts included) or a single motor pusher configuration (3D printed parts needed - not included).
